Interim President/Business Agent
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Department of Media Study Research Interest: Media Theory, Inscription and Writing Technologies, Experimental Media On Why the Union Matters: As an international student, I see firsthand how graduate workers can be placed in vulnerable spots by the system. What we might feel like a temporary stage in life—completing a degree in a few years—is part of a larger story about labor rights and workers’ dignity. GSEU has shown me that our rights aren’t just words on a contract—they become norm when we come together and advocate for them. |
Co-Vice President/Chief Steward
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Department of Psychology Research Interest: I'm currently a 4th year in Social Psychology researching close relationships. In particular, I'm interested in how relationship processes interact with personal identities like gender and race. On Why the Union Matters: The union matters to me because UB relies on our labor as graduate workers and as a result, we need to ensure we are treated respectfully and compensated fairly. Being a part of the union is important to me because when I want my voice to be heard, I know that it is amplified by the collective and that together we have the power to effect change. |
Co-Vice President/Chief Steward
⭐️Eugene is also an Organizer!Pronouns: He/Him/His
Department of Comparative Literature Research Interest: Philosophy, art, social movements. On Why the Union Matters: Corporate greed destroys community. Labor unions, solidarity and movements for justice matter because we realize that we are already deeply connected and dependent on the people around us. By acting together, unions and movements give us the here-and-now sparks of strength and care for a better world to come. |

Department of Global Gender and Sexuality Studies Research Interest: Asian-Black solidarity, community building, and social movements On Why the Union Matters: The union matters to me, as a representation of the community that we as graduate workers are able to build with one another. It helps us know that we are not alone and that we are always supported by people who will fight for and alongside us. |
